Crafting A Coffee Shop Identity With X-Design

You pictured fresh coffee, silent music, and relaxing moments with people. However, the moment when the shop was nearly complete, you noticed that something important was missing. You may lack an appropriate brand identity that could reflect the vision.

The coffee shop’s name was already decided, the menu prepared, and the place identified. Nevertheless, there was no powerful visual identity, which is why the shop did not seem complete. You realized that many people form prejudices about a cafe before even entering the place, based only on its appearance. And the first impression is created with the help of a professional and powerful logo.

There are plenty of AI Logo Generators in the market. Some were too complex, some were costly, and most of them were unsuited to a small coffee shop. X-Design seemed like a good solution. Because it claimed to be a tool specifically designed for restaurants and small shop visual creation.

This article is a personal experience of using this tool, and I would describe the steps that I followed, the things that went well, and the lessons I gained that can be applied by other coffee shop owners.

Determining Coffee Shop’s Brand Values

A Coffee shop should feel cozy but slightly modern. You wanted customers to get relaxed as they would be able to spend hours and hours sitting with a laptop or a book. The direction was clear at this point.

Next, you need to think about target customers. Most of them were students, freelancers, and casual coffee lovers. They appreciate clean design and warm environments. You want the branding to speak directly to them without being too fancy.

Colors, fonts, and icons matter a lot in branding. Warm colors create comfort, while clean fonts suggest professionalism. So, you can decide accordingly and prepare a doc to gather information around your coffee shop brand.

First Impressions Of X-Design AI Agent

The first time I came to X-Design, I found the site with a vibrant homepage. However, I was immediately redirected to the workspace, which they call ‘X-Design Workspace’. That actually sounded solid!

I was up for a virtual tour of the platform myself. Turned out, X-Design has a number of functionalities such as an AI-powered logo creator for branding, AI poster generator, brand kits, and mockups and more. This implied that you could do more than a logo.

I think it was simple. I had a text box where I could describe a coffee shop so it could generate logos for different styles. In fact, I saw a button ‘Create a logo’, once I clicked it, it was an example of how I could describe. To be honest, the demo felt a bit messy as I had no prior experience with Logo sizing, color definition, etc.

Budget seems to be an issue for new business owners. Local professional designers were too costly, and some of the tools I already tried had quite high pricing in place. Especially when I compared them with X-Design. So, $9.99 a month seemed reasonable to try yet another tool.

Step-By-Step: Creating The Logo

Step 1: First, when you start to write about your coffee shop brand, to my surprise, X-Design AI probably recommended an immediately ready-to-use description.

Step 2: Just enter your prompts in the box to create logos, posters or any other marketing assets.

Step 3: I was really impressed by the fact that the tool asked a few areas for clarification. It was something like I was working with a human agent for a brief period. Later, I was offered a few logo options generated by X-Design. I shouldn’t say all are good, but I did see the quality there. So, I guided further, picking a design that seemed better than others. In total, 7 times, I asked the tool to change small things before downloading the final version.

Tips For Other Coffee Shop Owners

First thing is that you should always be extremely clear when making text prompts. The more the detail, the better the results. Describing your brand in vague words is not a good idea.

Second, experiment with different logo options. Don’t settle for the first design you see. For instance, I asked X-Design 7 times to refine it from different perspectives. Trying variations helps you discover better ideas.

Always test how your logo looks in different sizes. It should be clear on a shop sign, a cup sleeve, and a small social media icon.

Also, use brand kit assets beyond the logo. Consistent colors and fonts make your brand look professional everywhere.

Conclusion

Initially, I doubted whether I could be able to get a professional logo using an AI tool. But now, I believe AI branding tools are indeed effective for small business owners. They are fast and work well on small budgets. For me, my requirement was met at a cost of $9.99. And I do have more credits left in X-Design, so I can have more visuals created.
