Do you remember Wooly Willy? Playing with him was a huge part of my childhood. I always kept an Etch-A-Sketch and a Wooly Willy in the backseat of my parent’s car when I was growing up. These days kids watch movies and surf the Internet from the backseat, but I’m glad I had my Wooly Willy instead.
I was checking out the tutorials on Instructables, and I found a DIY Wooly Willy coffee table. It’s made almost entirely with IKEA parts, so just about anyone could easily make this! You will need a few tools like a table saw and a drill. You’ll also need some software like Illustrator and Photoshop.
The effort it takes to build this will all be worth it since when you’re finished, you’ll have a huge Wooly Willy to play with anytime you sit in your living room with a cup of coffee. Thank you to noahw for providing the tutorial he used to make his Wooly Willy masterpiece. You can view it here on Instructables. This is truly something that brings back all kinds of childhood memories, and even with all the technology available today, I can’t imagine any child in the world who wouldn’t still think it was fun to put some hair and a mustache on Wooly Willy. I love it!
