Oh my gosh, these are without a doubt the most adorable earbuds I’ve ever seen. We’ve written about a few different Star Wars inspired earbuds and headphones (check out these super sweet Princess Leia hair headphone covers), and we’ve even covered Pokemon inspired headphones, but this is the first time I’ve seen any earbuds that are based on the original 8-bit NES.
As a matter of fact, if we’re going to wear these, we might as well go all the way back into the ’80s and listen to some Van Halen and Def Leppard while we’re at it. Okay, maybe not, but you’ve got to agree that these things are as cute as can be.
I don’t know for sure which design I like best, but I think the mushroom is my favorite. You can pick these up in the Japanese store called Strapya World for about $25 each. Right now they only have 29 in stock, so you’ll have to jump on it or they’ll be backordered soon. I’d take these on my next flight for sure. Everyone else would be wearing those ugly, generic, black airline earbuds that come in that cheap little plastic bag while I’d be sporting these in my own nostalgic way. Yup, I’m all over it!
