High Speed Envelopes Let You Leave A Trail Of Smoke When You Open Them

Sometimes the simplest designs are the most memorable. I don’t get a lot of snail mail anymore, but every once in a while, I still get one of those envelopes where you have to rip the tab to open it. I’m sure you know which envelopes I’m talking about. Every time I receive one of those envelopes from now on, I’ll think of these. Leave it to a creative Japanese designer to come up with a way to make ripping that tab fun. These are high speed envelopes.

Well, they are high speed from the standpoint that you’ll be leaving a pretend trail of smoke behind the plane, train or automobile on your envelope. Look at the pictures below, and you’ll know what I’m talking about. The innovative, Japanese company that designed these is called D-Bros. They are called D-Bros Booooon Envelopes.

My guess is that these were created for kids, but I wouldn’t mind having a pack of them for myself. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen an envelope that is probably more exciting than whatever is tucked inside. The funny thing is, if we saw a car with a real trail of smoke like this, we’d gasp and complain that it was bad for the environment, but on some high speed envelopes, it’s cute.

If you’d like to pick up a pack of these for yourself, you can click over on the D-Bros link above. Maybe companies that send junk mail should look into changing the design of their envelopes. I mean, if you received one like this, you’d surely open whatever it is they are trying to send you. Well, at least I know I would. My favorite one is definitely the little red racecar. Yup, I need some of these.
