I must be in a real Pokémon mood today because I already wrote about the super cute Pokérose to inspire geek love, and now I have another fun Pokémon project to share with you. I’ve had in the back of my mind for a while that I want to learn how to make an origami Pikachu. I saw one a few years ago online, and I’ve wanted to learn how to do that ever since.
I was poking around today on walyou, and I found what I thought was exactly what I was looking for, it was a Pikachu origami tutorial. However, there was one problem. The font on the tutorial was so small; it wasn’t readable. I guess you are just supposed to figure that one out from the pictures. I’m sure that will work out fine for some people who are artistically intuitive, but that’s not me. If you are like me (I would call myself artistically challenged), there is no way in hell you would be able to fold a piece of paper and make it look like a Pikachu without being able to read the words on the tutorial.
So, I went on a hunt to find a different one. What I found is even more fabulous than the first. This super cool little origami Pikachu tutorial was created by deviantARTist ~wesroz. She lays it all so it looks so simple that maybe I might even be able to do it. She even offered to make a video if anyone needs that. Wow, I just love the Internet community. Just head over to the office supply store and buy yourself a few sheets of yellow paper, or color a piece of white paper with a yellow marker. You are just about thirty folds away from having your own origami Pikachu!
