Illustration: Unicorns On Computer Paper

If you grew up in the ’80s like I did, you remember the huge green and white striped computer paper with perforated holes on the side. My father was a computer programmer and a geek way before it was cool. I remember him bringing home stacks of that paper from his office, and I used it for my drawings. I probably spent hundreds of hours drawing on that kind of paper.

When I found this website called Unicorns on Computer Paper, it immediately took me back to that time. Shawn Hollenbach, a popular comedian, actor and producer in New York and a writer for 365 Gay, drew these unicorn pictures when he was only 10-years-old.

I didn’t save any of my unicorn drawings from when I was a little girl, but apparently he did. His sister recently found these in a folder and shared them online. When Shawn drew these, he did it in hopes that they would be developed into toys someday. According to the site, “You can find Shaw hitting refresh on his emails waiting for Pixar.” Cute. He was so organized at only age 10. Each one of his unicorns (there are dozens of them) are numbered with a code and themed. They also each have a special power. Aww… :)
