Star Wars Stencil Art – Our Old Favorites with a New Twist

Stencil art was very popular when I was a child, and now many years later, it seems to be gaining popularity again. In case you are unfamiliar with it, a stencil is a template with holes in it that is used to create shapes, symbols and patterns. Usually people will spray paint or simply color in the holes and then remove the template to expose their design on whatever surface they have chosen.

Some people use stencils to decorate inside their house, for example, to put a border around a wall in their bathroom or kitchen. You can buy stencil kits in almost any home improvement store. When I was a child, we used to stencil on our clothes and shoes to create custom fun t-shirts and sneakers. Other people stencil on a much larger scale and use it to create interesting, fun graffiti on streets and bridges.
