If you remember, earlier this year Coca-Cola released its first Daft Punk inspired limited edition bottle design. The design itself was a little too gaudy for my taste, but it definitely reflected the style of Daft Punk electronic music. Well, they are at it again, and the two have collaborated to create another Daft Punk Coke bottle. In my opinion, this one is definitely more stylish and classy than the previous one, and I like it a lot.
These bottles are sleek and futuristic, just like this Daft Punk Helmet 2.0, yet they still stay true to the classic Coke bottle look that we are all accustomed to seeing. This time around, instead of the whole bottle being gold or silver, the design is much more subtle, and the gold and silver can only be found on the caps and in the Coca-Cola lettering. Of course, it is not just gold colored either; it’s actual 18K gold.
Once again, this is a limited edition set, and each one of the 20 editions comes beautifully boxed and signed. The box they come packaged in, which you can’t really see in these pictures, was inspired by the famous Daft Punk jackets. Wow, I betcha Coca-Cola collectors are going nuts over these badboys. They are truly a work of art. Since I live in the Coca-Cola capital of the world (Atlanta), I wonder if I could drive down the street to the headquarters and see one of these bottles in person. Hmm…
