I know you are probably sitting there working hard today. You decided to take a little break and surf the web to find something to give you a refreshing little visual break. Well, you’ve come to the right place, and I have the perfect thing for you.
Before I go any further, I just have to ask, what would inspire someone to create such a thing? Who the heck would ever even think to do this? I guess that is why Kyle Bean is popping up everywhere online. He has these kinds of ideas, but I have no idea where they come from. I guess that is true artistic talent, when you can see things in a way most people don’t even conceive.
This is his sculpture called “What Came First?” With a dremel tool and a bunch of different colored eggshells, he created a chicken made of eggshells. I can’t even color Easter eggs without breaking them most of the time. How did he do this? Kyle said, “I knew it would be a challenge and very fiddly but then that’s the kind of projects that I love doing. I used a power tool with a sanding attachment to smooth out the edges of the shells and then applied each one with a glue gun to a papier mache hen.”
As amazing as this is, it still doesn’t answer the question though. Which came first, the chicken or the egg? In this case, maybe the answer is the cracked eggshell came first, along with some glue, a power tool and lots of patience.
