I go through a lot of websites everyday. It’s usually because I’m doing research, getting info on articles I’m writing, or of course, just getting entertained. Whenever I feel a bit down or need inspiration, going through articles that have fun and humor on them always gets me back into a good mood. A friend and office mate of mine, @sheenasiao, shared a site with me that I definitely enjoyed a lot.
The website is called My Milk Toof. The site is owned by Inhae Renee Lee, an artist working in Berkeley, California. After moving from Korea to America at the age of 16, she became interested in pursuing a career in animation. She studied at the California Institute of the Arts and Ecole Nacionale Superiour des Beaux-Arts, Paris. According to the creator of the site, when she was young, she would collect her milk teeth, place them under her pillow, and collect money when she woke up. She always wondered what happened to these milk teeth, hence one day “Milk Toof” was born.
The characters in her story are Ickle and Lardee. The stories and the characters are all simple, yet very interesting. They make you hardly want to wait for their next adventure. I have included pictures here, and you can of course visit the site to meet Ickle and Lardee. The stories are fun and lighthearted.
