Here’s one you won’t believe, or maybe you will. Everyone is trying so hard to come up with something Star Wars to reap the profits of a more than likely viral promotion. And we all know, probably 75% of everything Star Wars is going viral in one way or another. The Volkswagen commercial is a truly brilliant example of that. It went viral even before the Super Bowl.
So it won’t come as a surprise to you that a lot of people use bits and pieces from the Star Wars world in order to make their own idea shine even brighter. There are cars, toys, designs and ultimately houses that are in one way or another designed with an element from Star Wars. Whether it be the white color of a Stormtrooper or the features of Darth Vader‘s helmet, it’s all there to remind us of the epic Star Wars retro feel. But how many times can you really use the theme to your profit? Well, a great example is just to look at the number of Star Wars articles we have published here on Bit Rebels. Pretty much every one of them has been successful and seen by a lot of people. So, I don’t really see a limit for it to be honest.
In what ways is it a good match one might wonder. Scattered Trees decided to use the legendary Stormtrooper concept in their newest music video for the song “Love and Leave.” It’s not really an uplifting song, but it’s a valiant effort to try and make something different yet recognizable. So if you’re interested in seeing how Star Wars can be converted into a music video, here is your chance. However, as a little disclaimer, if you’re a hardcore Star Wars fan, you might disapprove of this whole thing. However, it is what it is, and if it works, then the songwriter of the song is smiling all the way to the bank… until George Lucas wants a piece of it I guess. #JustSaying
