Although a lot of people think the 1995 flick Batman Forever kinda stunk, I really liked it. I remember it came out while I was at University and all my friends and I went to see it together one weekend. It was a good time and a fun movie. But then again, I’ve always liked Val Kilmer, Tommy Lee Jones, Jim Carrey and Nicole Kidman.
If you liked that movie too, and if you happen to have an extra $200,000 – $275,000 to blow, now is your chance to own a piece of that movie’s history. The original Batmobile, which traveled all around to promote that movie back in the mid 90s, is going on the auction block this Saturday, March 5, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
According to Auctions America, the Batmobile body mold cost 2.5 million dollars to make. This particular car has a fiberglass body and a custom tubular chassis. Since this Batmobile actually runs, imagine how excited your kids would be to get dropped off at school in this badboy! After looking at these pictures, I’m thinking whoever wins this auction and takes this car home might have to have their garage redesigned so it will fit. I also read that Warner Brothers has apparently made it clear that they have to approve any potential buyer before the sale is finalized. Leave it to them to be a party pooper.
