15 Famous Swords Every Geek Should Recognize

There have been many geek trivia tests presented over the years. We’ve written about a few of them here on Bit Rebels. Although they are always fun, the truth is, one of the main characteristics of being a geek is that you don’t have to prove yourself to anyone. In other words, if you say you are a geek, that is good enough for me. There is no proof needed. On the other hand, if you want to dabble in the world of geek trivia as it applies to some famous swords, you’ll love this.

This is a collection of 15 iconic, famous swords that you will probably recognize immediately. They are an eclectic mix of sci-fi and fantasy from movies, video games and television shows. Before I saw these, I wasn’t even sure I could think of 15 different famous swords, but now it all seems so obvious.

These 3D illustrations were created by Stuart Wade. You can even buy a print with all of them on it for $17.68 over on Society6. Here is the list of them. I didn’t put them in the correct order, so you can have a little fun matching the right sword with the right name.

Cloud’s Buster from Final Fantasy VII
Conan’s Atlantean Sword
King Leonidas’ Spartan Sword from 300
Bibo’s Sting from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit
He-Man’s Sword of Power
Finn’s Adventure Time Sword
Klingon Bat’leth (for the trekkies)
Soul Edge from the Soul Caliber series of games
The Bride’s Hatori Hanzo Sword from Kill Bill
Diamond Minecraft Sword
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle gear
Link’s Master Sword from the Legend Of Zelda games
Lion-O’s Sword of Omens from Thundercats
The Skeksis Ceremonial Haakskeeka Sword
Luke’s Lightsaber

I can think of a few other swords that I’d like to add to this list. When you are done perusing this list of famous swords, you can move on to famous weapons if you’d like. Just click over to Famous Weapons Used By Your Favorite Superheroes & Villains.
