I can’t decide if this is considered 8-bit fashion or pixel art, so maybe I’ll just say it’s a combination of style and art. If you are familiar with fashion design, you know that each one of the famous designers has a style all his or her own. Whether it’s oversized, skin tight, sexy or demure, once you get the hang of it, you will start to recognize the different designer signatures in their creations.
The divas over at Fashionary obviously know the designers inside and out. They took some of the most famous ones including Prada, Alexander McQueen, Givenchy, Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent and Louis Vuitton and created 8-bit fashions inspired by these famous fashion legends.
Here’s where the story gets nuts. Kalyca Romeo, the blogger behind Romeo Style, is quite a fashion diva herself. She knows these designers so well that she took these 8-bit illustrations and paired them with the actual outfit by each designer. Most of them she recognized immediately, and a couple she had to find. You can see the actual runway photos side-by-side with these illustrations at Guessing The 8-Bit Fashion Designer.
