It’s no secret that we love Lego on Bit Rebels. However, the question is, do we love Lego enough to wear Lego inspired fashions?
In Richard’s earlier article today about that crazy x-ray dress, he said, “…it seems like fashion designers want us to look odd so when aliens finally arrive on our little blue planet they will feel right at home.” I agree, especially when it comes to these Lego fashions. Of course, I don’t think anyone would take this seriously as an option to wear, would they?
These are from French designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac’s Spring/Summer 2009 collection. I can truly appreciate that he has brought Lego into the world of high fashion. And, as strange as this may sound, to me, these models actually look like some of the little Lego figurines we had as a child. These models really know how to work the Lego style! Not only are these Lego inspired designs, but they also sport the colors and styles from the 80s. You’ll even see a Mohawk created out of Lego on one of the hats below. One thing is for sure, if you were to wear something like this to a party, you’d be the center of attention all night long!
