Earlier today when I wrote about live crabs being sold in vending machines, it kind of left a bad taste in my mouth. So, now I’ve decided to write another food article, but this time, something a little more light hearted and fun.
Below is a picture of Steve Mallie who is the new Guinness Book of World Record holder for his burger, which is now officially the world’s biggest burger ever made. Can you say nom nom?
Here are a few interesting stats about that big ‘ol burger: It took 8 hours to bake the bun, it took 15 hours to bake the burger, it weighs 185lbs (84kg), it sells for $499, it had to be wheeled into the restaurant, and it is topped with cheese, lettuce and tomato. So since they’ve put a price on this burger, does that mean you can actually order it at Mallie’s Sports Grill and Bar in Michigan? That would be kind of fun. However, it would probably take an entire football team to eat this thing. I wonder how many calories it has. Hmm…
Steve said, “I’ve worked my entire life to build this restaurant and being able to have the notoriety of Guinness makes it just that bit more rewarding. Being in the Guinness World Records book is the greatest accomplishment we’ve ever done.” Congratulations to Steve and his team!
