After watching the success of our Star Wars articles firsthand throughout the years here on Bit Rebels, I don’t think I am the only one who thinks Star Wars art is so much more than just an idea on a piece of paper. It’s more than that, and there seems to be no end to it. It harbors everything that we hold dear when it comes to this legendary series of movies that seemingly just becomes more and more popular each day that goes by. No wonder a lot of people want to do mashups, odd creations and spoofs based on the franchise. We’re just excited that we get to share the very best of it, and that you guys seem to like it a lot too.
So what about a bit of modern interior design based on Star Wars? Does that seem like something you think you would ever read about in a million years? Well, of course it does, it would be odd otherwise since technology seems to be the one thing we want to decorate our humble homes with. But this is not anything technological, it’s more based on the chaos you might find when you are a kid and you randomly splat paint on a piece of paper and proudly give it to your mom and dad expecting them to think it is the world’s greatest art. And the cool thing about that is they actually do!
French artist Arian Noveir has an eye for ink splatters, and he is not afraid to show it. Even though you might at first confuse it for the oddness of Rorschach art, I assure you that it isn’t. They are actually some quite elaborate splatters of ink that have been created to fit the profiles of some of the most memorable characters in Star Wars. It shouldn’t be too hard to tell which one is which, and by the time you have looked through them, I am sure you will wonder how they are done, right? Well, I do too… but it seems that is a mystery that Arian is keeping a secret. You have to admit that these fine art creations would look really good in a high tech living room somewhere in a penthouse in Manhattan.
