If I am not mistaken, we have touched on this subject before when it comes to graffiti artists. I think we already pointed out back then that there really are two different kinds of graffiti artists out there. The first one is obviously the “tagger” who puts his or her “sign” on pretty much anything. It’s nothing elaborate, and it’s just done with a marker or a spray can. It’s that kind of graffiti that we hate, and it’s the kind that destroys our trains, subway stations and whatever have you. Then we have the REAL graffiti artists who are commissioned to create something awesome, beautiful or just amazing on a piece of wall that was previously just a gray slap of concrete. The latter are the ones that we here at Bit Rebels support.
I don’t know how many times I have walked by a graffiti wall and stopped just to take a picture with my iPhone. I am starting to get quite a collection. I don’t know why I am doing it really. Maybe it’s just a fascination for the spray can art, or possibly I draw some kind of inspiration from it when I look at it so I want to save it for a rainy day. Either way, it’s when you stumble upon art like that when you start thinking that graffiti is quite awesome if the form and place is right.
It seems the guys at Everfresh Studio are keeping us company in our opinion because they have created the most ultimately pimped out graffiti van called the Graf Mobile. It’s a creation of beauty, and it has everything you could possibly want when taking on a mission within the graffiti art, guerrilla style. Sure, it’s easy to think this van is also directed at the less serious graffiti painters; however, if you have a bit of sarcasm in you, you will understand the joke in it all. We hope we do here at Bit Rebels, and we find this Graf Mobile to be the pinnacle of awesomeness when it comes to guerrilla graffiti art missions. Stack em, rack em and tag em… or just use that spray can, maybe that’s better.
