You may be wondering why anyone would want to create a toilet out of circuit boards. It’s because that is where data is disposed of course. Also, someone said it couldn’t be done, and when someone says that to a creative person who knows no limits, he or she has to stop everything and prove that person wrong. I know that feeling, and it’s one of the best motivators!
Just the other day when I wrote about the artist who built the city of Helsinki from motherboards, I talked about how many geeks just don’t get rid of their old circuit boards. They are just too special. Artist Steven Rodrig knows this all too well since he’s made a life out of making creative designs from old printed circuit boards. On PCB Creations he writes, “Rather than ending up in a mound of obsolete waste destine to rot in time, there is a recycled life waiting to take on a new organic form.”
Well, in this case, that organic form he’s talking about is a one-of-a-kind toilet, and it’s on sale right now in his Etsy store for 500 bucks. There is no plumbing in this little guy, so it’s for display only. It stands only one foot tall, and it’s 5 inches wide. There is even a secret hiding place under the lid of this cute creation for your data. I’m glad it’s not life-size because my butt was starting to hurt just from thinking about sitting on this thing.
