Latest Statistics About Bullying & How You Can Help [Infographic]

We’ve written about bullying many times on Bit Rebels. It’s a huge problem that is harmful to everyone involved. I have vivid memories of being bullied as a child, and now that I’m a parent, it continues to hit home. Bullying has even crossed over into the Internet world, and cyber-bullying is rampant. People sometimes think it’s only a problem for children, but adults can be bullied also. These statistics about bullying will put it in perspective for you.

When children witness a child being bullied at school, it’s sometimes hard for them to know what to do. Many times they don’t want to get involved because it’s a scary situation, but unfortunately, ignoring it is one of the worst choices they can make. Sometimes just learning how to talk about bullying can help. If you’d like to learn about how to prevent bullying, you can attend an event in your area. Anti-bullying fundraisers and events are held from time to time in most major cities (at least here in the States).

There may be an anti-bullying event in your town. Just do a little research to find one. For example, if you live in Atlanta, tomorrow there is a free bully prevention event at 10:30am at Gracie Barra Columbus (a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school). If you go, you’ll even get to meet the Power Rangers Samurai cast.
