Lure Your Kitten To Play With Bubble Catnip

Sometimes people ask me, “What is the one thing that most people do not know about you?” My answer is always, “We have 19 cats.” Well, technically, we now have 23. My sister loves cats, and we keep only the ones she rescues. It is very hard to try and entertain a cat or to even get its attention. To help with this, a friend of my sister sent us some catnip for our kittens. At first we did not know how to use it.

“Catnip” is the common name for a perennial herb of the mint family. It is native to Europe and is an import to the United States and other countries. The catnip plant is now a widespread weed in North America. Given to the right cat, catnip can cause an amazing reaction! The cat will rub it, roll over it, kick at it, and generally go nuts for several minutes. Then the cat will lose interest and walk away. Two hours later, the cat may come back and have exactly the same response.

According to Think Geek Nepetalactone is the organic compound in catnip that causes your kitten to go wild, that is, unless your particular kitten lacks the ‘nip gene. One in four cats will never do ‘nip; they’re just not interested. Cosmic Catnip Bubbles are the new drug on the street, luring many a kitten into ‘nip abuse much like “cheese” lured dumb middle schoolers into getting hooked on heroin. (We’re pretty sure your cat is smarter than the average middle schooler… at least until catnip is involved.) Cosmic Catnip Bubbles are made just like regular bubbles, but with the addition of catnip oil for maximum kitten craziness. Each bottle contains 8 ounces of bubble solution and a bubble wand for you for optimal bubbly Nepetalactone delivery.
