For me, one of the best ways to celebrate life is to get outside and enjoy nature. Sometimes for us computer geeks, that might just mean taking the time for a quick walk in the backyard. However, you might be surprised at what you can find right outside your own door. It’s really magical if you can get in that space and appreciate it.
Some of my favorite gifts from nature are butterflies. Not only is the process by which they come into the world fascinating, but their wing patterns make them one of the most beautiful insects. Did you know that there are over 17,500 different butterfly species? That blows my mind! Butterflies have a very short lifespan, which is another reason why I feel so blessed when I see one. Some butterflies live only a few days, some live a month, and at most they can live up to six months.
People everywhere seem to love butterflies. Many designers make butterfly inspired creations, and it’s becoming more and more popular to release live butterflies at wedding receptions to signify the beauty of life. National Geographic recently published some photography which I wanted to share with you today. It highlights patterns in nature, specifically on butterflies. These are simply stunning to me. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
