The other day I wrote an article about laziness in the workplace. It was really funny to see how many people in Corporate America spend their time during the day. Since I don’t work in a traditional office, the whole thing made me giggle. I think it’s ridiculous that some people can’t access Twitter or Facebook from their office. I mean, c’mon, we are all adults here. But then again, if I was the one who was paying the salaries, I might have a different opinion.
One thing I do remember from working in a corporate office is the kitchen politics. Many times an office will have a kitchen where employees can bring a lunch and store it in the refrigerator, or make coffee. It was always soooooo funny to me how people treated each other in the kitchen.
You can learn a lot about someone by the way they act in the office kitchen. For example, if they leave a big mess of sugar and creamer all over the counter for someone else to clean after they make coffee, that tells you a lot. Also, every office usually has the woman that elects herself to be the unofficial kitchen keeper, and she’s in there all the time tidying up.
The funniest thing of all is how people act with food in the office. If someone orders pizza, it’s a huge deal and everyone has a party. Meanwhile, if those same people order a pizza at home, it’s no big deal. People also steal and eat each other’s lunches. I know, it’s stupid, but it’s true. I found these pictures below on The Berry. They are such funny examples of how people treat each other in office kitchens. I laughed when I saw these because they brought back so many memories. I hope they give you a good giggle too. Enjoy!
