This is such a funny story. I guess it’s one way to recycle, right? When Kevin Cotter’s wife (who he had been with since high school) left him last year, she packed up her car with everything except her wedding dress. He said, “You forgot your wedding dress.” She said, “Yeah, I’m not taking that.” He said, “What do you expect me to do with it?” She said, “Whatever the $%^@# you want.” And, he did. As a matter of fact, he became an Internet sensation with it.
As part of his nontraditional post-divorce trauma therapy, he and his brother set out to find as many uses as they could for her old wedding dress. He launched a website called MyExWifesWeddingDress.com about it which became successful only a few weeks after it started, and people everywhere started sending in pictures for how he could use the dress.
Now Kevin is launching book, which will be released next week, called 101 Uses for My Ex-Wife’s Wedding Dress. I guess this type of therapy worked since he’s since gotten remarried already. Maybe more people should turn their sorrow into creativity when divorce strikes since it seems to work well. Kevin says he’s used her dress 120 different ways, but only 101 made the cut for his book. If you would like to see his master list of all the uses, click over to The List. I’ve put a few photos below of some of his uses. I never knew a wedding dress could be so handy!
