I’ve always been inspired by snowflakes. To me, they are like little specks of magic when they fall from the sky. Since it doesn’t snow much in Atlanta, I don’t get to see snowflakes very often. I remember in January I wrote 5 Lessons A Snowflake Can Teach Us About Blogging on a day when it snowed here.
Now that winter is long gone and most of us aren’t thinking about snow at all, I have something really special to share with you. AK Donovan of Akira The Don has apparently been taking magnified photographs of snowflakes for many years, and he recently shared them on his site. They were taken with different degrees of magnification.
Did you have any idea that this is what a snowflake looks like up close? I’ve always known that every snowflake is unique, but I had no idea they were this different. The fact that each snowflake that falls looks so complex and stunning is such a tribute to how incredible nature and our planet truly are. I am completely in awe when I look at these. Thank you for sharing your treasured photographs with the world AK Donovan.
