Before every Apple keynote, people are talking about the dwindling ingenuity over at Apple and how their smartphones can’t be compared to the greatness of other smartphones. As with everything, it’s all relative and what is one man’s treasure could easily be another man’s trash if you know what I mean. It is simply a matter of preference. But, in order to determine whether Apple is still making progress with each new iPhone presented we need to take a closer look at the functions and performance of the smartphone itself. That is exactly what YouTuber EverythingApplePro has done in an epic speed test including every iPhone ever made.
I think anyone would be able to conclude which phone is going to be the winner in this speed test, however the runner ups are not so easy to predict as they are not exactly the ones that you might expect. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are, of course, the faster ones, and it boils down to the fact that they have better specs than the other iPhones.
It’s quite remarkable that the smartphones, that we once thought were lightning fast, can suddenly be so slow. As said, there are however a few surprises that I am sure that you will not be able to predict before you have seen the complete video of the test. This speed test includes every iPhone ever made and that means iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, as we have mentioned before, but also the 5S, 5C, 5, 4S, 4, 3Gs, 3 and the 2G.
Despite the fact that Apple continuously incorporates less impressive specs compared to other smartphones, they manage to push out better performance in pretty much every test thrown at it. This means that the chips that Apple incorporates into their iPhones are more efficient and that is, if anything, testament to the superior collaboration between Intel and Apple when producing new processor chips.
In this speed test, we can see how much the iPhone has progressed through the years as far as performance. It is something that will surely open your eyes to the ingenuity that Apple is putting into every detail of their new tiers of phones. If we exclude the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in this test, which iPhone do you think will have the best performance? Try and predict it and tell us why you chose it in the comment section below.
