It’s funny, but we often ignore the one space that has more items to sell than most others: our own home. You have items, like most of us do, that people are willing to buy from you. It’s time to start reselling these items rather than giving them away or donating them to Goodwill.
You don’t even need to be minimalistic to start selling items. I will use an example that I literally found a few minutes ago. I am sipping coffee from an “I heart NY” mug. I purchased a set of 3 mugs in a store this past summer for $10.
Out of curiosity, I looked the mug up on eBay, and recent sale prices were $8 – $12. I paid $3.33 per mug – that’s a massive profit margin. And I purchased all of the mugs new, so if I lived nearby, I could buy these mugs and sell the $10 mugs for $24 – $36.

Use eBay, Facebook Marketplace or another avenue (there are a lot of apps available). You can start buying and selling items, but there’s a risk with this method: you have to spend money. If you already own the items, there’s little risk because you don’t have to spend money on inventory.
If you have some money, you can choose to start trading. This is a risky venture, but it’s one that a lot of people enter. The risk of failure is high, but the returns are also substantial. This is different than buying Microsoft stock and holding on to it for 10 years.
Instead, you’ll want to start entering forex or cryptocurrency trades. You have to start somewhere, and this should be done on demo accounts. Why? The demo account doesn’t require any capital to start trading, and you’ll be able to learn the basics of trading in the process.
There are a lot of great and inspiring stories of traders making a lot of money quickly. But don’t buy into anything you don’t understand the ins and outs of trading first.
