I don’t write about minimalist design a lot. Richard writes about it often, but I don’t since I don’t get it half the time. I understand that when it comes to design, “the simpler the better,” plus minimalist design is a big trend this year, but still it doesn’t make any sense to me a lot of times. For example, check out these Pantone Superheroes. People went gaga over those. I just look at those and think, “really?”
Designers seem to combine minimalist design and superheroes a lot. These Minimalist Superhero Poster Illustrations were kinda neat, but still not really my style. I’m so glad I didn’t give up on minimalist design altogether because I finally found some that really speak to me, and I want to show them to you today. These fabulous posters with such vibrant colors and sleek, simple design allow me to finally understand why everyone seems to love minimalist design so much. I love these!
I think it’s funny that Wonder Woman still looks beautiful, even with no face. These were created by deviantARTist Calvin Lin (*thelincdesign), an art student living in the United States. If you would like a print of one of these designs, you can go to Society6 where he’s selling them for $18. On his deviantART page, Calvin wrote that he’s an “aspiring artist.” Calvin, I think you’ve made it. You’ve got mad talent!
