This has got to be a little boy’s dream come true. What could be better than seeing a classic Hot Wheels car turned into a real life-size car? Wait a minute, forget the kids, this is definitely a toy for adults. Recently Chevrolet teamed up with Hot Wheels to create one concept car from their classic 1968 collection of 16 diecast model cars. This particular Camaro has always been a Hot Wheels favorite, and now it’s big enough to actually get in and drive.
The General Motors Design Studio and the Hot Wheels Design Studio spent a lot of time getting this car just right, and they even created a special green metallic glossy finish to make it extra special. This car has a manual transmission, a grille and spoiler from a ZL1, and tons of unique parts under the hood.
This design beauty was unveiled at the 2011 SEMA Show a few days ago. The life-size orange Hot Wheels track was a nice touch which created a perfect entrance for this one-of-a-kind car. I read in some places that it’s for sale, but according to the YouTube video below it isn’t. If you are interested in buying it, I’ll leave that research to you. I suddenly have the urge to drive super fast on a long highway with the radio cranked all the way up!
