As many of you know, my very best Twitter friend and Bit Rebels writer, @mistygirlph, loves pop-up books. In this article about a very inspiring pop-up book she found, she said that she hopes to design her own some day. So Misty, I’m dedicating this article to you!
Illustrator Benjamin Lacombe released his pop-up book entitled, “Once Upon A Time,” and it’s truly a pop-up masterpiece. In addition to being full of rich beautiful colors, this pop-up book illustrates eight fascinating fairy tales we grew up with including Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio, The Sleeping Beauty, Bluebeard, Peter Pan, Little Red Riding Hood, Madame Butterfly and Thumbelina. Unfortunately, from what I can find, it’s only available in a few countries, and it’s not printed in English. These illustrations are stunning to me, and I can only imagine what they must look like when they pop-up from the pages of this book. I hope one day it will be available in the States. Follow the white rabbit in the video…
