Alcoholic Beverage Art – Colorful Pictures of Your Favorites

Wow, this is such an original and artistic way to turn chemistry into beautiful art! The folks at Bevshots took a little trip to the Florida State University chemistry lab where they had some fun! They took pictures of different kinds of alcohol as seen from under a microscope.

Of course, I’m oversimplifying the process here. Amusing Planet does a great job of detailing this fancy chemistry project. Apparently, “Just like images of snowflakes, each drink is different.”

This whole process takes up to three months to complete, and they had to take as many as 200 pictures of one drop of alcohol in order to capture all the different parts. What a stunning combination of art and science! Below are pictures of (in order): A dry martini, scotch, tequila, vodka, whiskey, white Russian, chablis, champagne, daiquiri, margarita, pina colada and sake. You can purchase your favorite drink a’la artwork at the Bevshots website.
