I’m starting to think there is a whole underground world of people who love duct tape and anything made with it. I’m serious. I mean, who needs something as boring as say… cloth to make clothes? It’s way more fun to get your hands on a few rolls of duct tape, several hours and some creativity. Before you know it, you’ll be sporting some quite stylish and very original duct tape fashions.
I found this article Stuck On You: 5 Amazing Duct Tape Fashions, and I was blown away. Now that colored duct tape is available, the options are limitless. I recently wrote an article about how to create a rose from duct tape, and two years ago I wrote about 15 wacky ways to use duct tape, but today it’s all about a simple hair bow.
Laurie at Tip Junkie created this cute duct tape hair bow. Although normally I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing anything that has the word “tape” in the description, this is actually really creative and it looks nice! It would be important to fold the tape carefully so no sticky edges are exposed otherwise I’m sure it would hurt to take it off. I have long hair, and I’ve had a lot of experience yanking out hard to remove hair bows. I think the main reason why this bow is so cute is because she used duct tape that wasn’t the standard gray color.
