Sometimes it’s the simplest designs that make us smile the most. You know, the ones that don’t incorporate any innovative technology or groundbreaking features. They are just easy and creative, and they make our lives more fun. The Yamaha NS-10 Speaker Flash Drive, which I wrote about yesterday, is an example of that. Another example are these adorable film roll salt and pepper shakers to spice up your food (and your food pics).
Each one of these shakers looks just like a real film roll, and they are appropriately labeled salt and pepper. These would be a great gift for the camera lover in your life, or even for yourself. In our world where we are all obsessed picture-taking photogs, these seem relevant and fun.
The funny thing is, when I look at these film rolls, I think about how our children will never know what it’s like to put film in a camera (unless they become professional photographers). Film rolls are yet another thing we can add to the list of things that mark our generation. When I was a little girl, I remember seeing my parents buy film to put into their camera. We took pictures the old fashioned way. In other words, we couldn’t preview them before paying to have the film developed. Of course, we didn’t know at the time how much all that would change.
These film roll salt and pepper shakers really need no explanation. You can pick up a set on Photojojo for $15. They are just another fun way to accessorize your kitchen, your dinner table and your life.
