I love this video. If you have not seen The PEN Story, check it out below. I assure that you will have a new appreciation of stop motion. If you are unfamiliar with stop motion, its the photo-graphic method in which this amazing video was made. It is a great technique for storytelling with an artistic touch.
In the making of The PEN Story the crew shot 60,000 pictures, developed 9,600 prints and shot over 1,800 pictures again.
This video is a promo spot for Olympus’s “PEN” camera. The featured camera is an oldie that has just made a comeback. Olympus claims the PEN packs the punch of an SLR with the stature of a compact. I think its one of the coolest looking little cameras out there (that comes from a Nikon fan).
The video is fun to watch and appreciate the design, development and branding behind a great and moving (pun intended) story. The tune is pretty catchy too..
