Since I’m on the Internet pretty much all day every day, sometimes I think I’ve seen it all. Many times people will send me tweets and ask where I find the stuff I write about, and I don’t even know how to answer that question. When you spend as much time online as Richard and I do, finding wild, wacky and wonderful things to write isn’t very hard. The world is a fascinating place, and our job never gets old.
In this article I would like to share something with you that isn’t new. It’s been working its way around the Internet for many years, but I just found out about it today. I’ve never been to Germany, and this is yet another reason why I want to go. I want to see this building in person.
This is called the Kunsthofpassage Funnel Wall, and it’s located in Dresden, Germany. I was instantly inspired when I saw how beautiful it looks, and then I learned that the drain pipes and gutter system that you see attached to the outside of the building play music when it rains. The way they were designed even makes them look like musical instruments. Apparently this is in Dresden’s student district. It’s beautiful and inspiring. I wanna go see it soooo bad. Anyone want to come with me?
This building below is apparently right across the street from the Funnel Wall. I bet there is a good story behind this one too! I wish I know more about it. What a fun neighborhood!
