I’ve never seen train set typography before today, and I love it! I am a sucker for old trains, and if I had a spare room in my house, I would keep a train set assembled all the time. We’ve featured a lot of creative alphabets on Bit Rebels before. If you are looking for a creative way to teach your little one about letters, you might want to check out the Simpson’s alphabet, the 8-bit alphabet, the superhero alphabet or this fabulous Star Wars alphabet.
All of those are great, no doubt, but this train set alphabet is my favorite one by far. Ludvig Bruneau Rossow, a designer living in Norway, found this old train set in his grandmother’s basement. Wow, you are lucky Ludvig. The only things I ever found in my grandmother’s basement were old clothes and a lot of dust. Since the track of the train was flexible, he was able to use it to create letters, and as a result, an entirely new design and new purpose for this old toy.
What a great way for someone to learn the English alphabet! Can you imagine having one of these set up in your classroom at school? I absolutely adore this, and I’m sure it will inspire train lovers everywhere. It’s creativity at its best. To learn more about Ludvig, visit Bureau Bruneau.
