I haven’t had a scale in my house for a long time. I finally decided a while back that I wasn’t going to be a slave to it anymore, and I threw it in the garbage can. Now I judge my weight by how my clothes fit.
Google Creative Director, Ji Lee, designed this scale below. If you are unfamiliar with his designs, let me give you a little background. He is known for being a creative, sarcastic smart ass who has a lot of fun. With that being said, I wonder what he was thinking when he designed this scale that tells you what you are allowed to eat instead of showing you your weight.
If you are heavy that day, the scale might tell you that you are allowed to eat a piece of lettuce, or worse yet, water. If you are really lucky and have been doing your exercises, you might land on the one labeled veggie burger, or better yet, lasagna. I wonder if there is a place on here that says chocolate eclair or Rocky Road ice cream. Hmmm… I’m guessing not.
The more I think about it, the more I think he was laughing when he designed this. Of course, it is never expected to become a real product, thank goodness. To me, this is the meanest scale in the whole world. :)
