Epic Cardboard DeLorean Push Car Takes You Back To The Future

Let’s face it, there were few things when we grew up that were as awesome as soapbox cars or push cars. If you had the pleasure of driving one of your friend’s cars, it was even more epic. Kid’s today are more into their iPad minis and smartphones (soon also smartwatches) so one might question if the epic feeling of driving one of these is still present in our technology driven world. For Instructables member Cory4281’s son, Halloween couldn’t be more awesome.

Let’s start where the story begins shall we. Last year Cory4281 started building what would become one of the most retro push car builds to date. She cut and assembled cardboard into a DeLorean miniature car and made sure to include almost every detail. Even the signature exhaust funnels are neatly assembled, and are looking no less than awesome.

The build is of course made into a tutorial over at Instructables for any of you guys that would like to attempt to build it. For Mama Cooper, the build didn’t end with finishing up the car, not at all. She went ahead and pimped out Baby Cooper as well in order to make the Halloween “costume” even more lifelike. I have to give it to her, I don’t think I have seen a better Back To The Future “costume”. This is just brilliant in every sense of the word.

Every detail of the DeLorean push car is something out of the ordinary and Mama Cooper has said that she will build her son a new “costume” every year in order to keep up her son’s cool. I guess Baby Cooper is the coolest kid in town, now that he’s rolling around in this badboy build as some of you have commented on the Instructables website. Whatever Halloween costumes you are trying to impress the world with this year, it would be tough to compete with this build and perhaps no match against this pimped out cardboard car, that’s for certain!
