Cocktail Time: 9 Geeky Mixed Drinks Inspired By Pokémon Characters

It’s always such a blast from the past to write about anything Pokémon related. Almost every geek I know goes through a Pokémon stage at one point, and when you’re in the middle of it, it’s a magical time. If you are planning a retro dinner party, or even if you just have some friends coming over, these colorful Pokémon inspired mixed drinks would be the perfect cocktails to serve. Each one will take you back to all those legendary battles with your favorite characters.

These mixed drinks were created and designed by the blogger at Meow. She describes herself as a Pokémon master, a Nintendo freak and a crazy cat lady. Beneath the image below, I put a copy of her recipe for each one. As you see, they aren’t hard to make. It’s just a matter of having all the right ingredients.

If you’re going to make these, you’ll definitely need to take a trip to the liquor store. Since there’s no amounts listed for each of these ingredients, you’ll have to do it the fun way – taste as you go! These are all frozen drinks, so you’ll need plenty of ice on hand too. The thing I want to know is how did she decide to use the Eeveelution characters? I would also like to see some of the wimpier but cuter Pokémon like Pikachu or Piplup.

As you see, making mixed drinks for your friends doesn’t have to be as boring as just pouring a few ingredients into a glass. You can get creative with it and have some fun. You can also cut fruits into shapes to match your drinks, kind of like making the fruit into a prop.
