Beginning today, Friday, April 20th, at 12:01 p.m. (PDT) Blizzard Entertainment will be hosting a Diablo 3 open beta to stress test its servers in preparation for the game’s highly anticipated release on May 15th, 2012.
In other words, nerds around the world are rejoicing and squealing from excitement (and probably suffering from several super-wedgies as well). To get your hands on the beta, just follow the instructions here, and you’ll be well on your way to having the most anti-social, unhygienic weekend of your life.
But hurry: Open beta testing ends on Monday, April 23rd at 10:00 a.m. (PDT), so it’s crucial that you take the necessary steps to maximize your time with the game — defer that life-altering exam, skip that championship softball game, or postpone that wedding your fiancée has been pestering you about for months now.
