Epic Sauron Tower Recreated With 50,000 Lego Blocks

It just so happens that we haven’t published anything about Lego in quite a while (Not!). Since we haven’t published anything about Lego since last week, I thought I would go ahead and write something in that category today. And boy did I ever find something you guys are going to love. We’ve seen epic builds before, and they usually hold upwards of 10,000 Lego blocks and take years to complete. We have also showed you micro builds that really mesmerized our entire community because of their lifelike appearances despite their low number of blocks. However, this one will surely have you glued to the screen.

It’s not just any ole build, this one is actually epic in every sense of the word. The creator, Kevin Walter, stands shorter than his actual build which is 5 foot 9 inches. It is Sauron‘s Tower, also known as Barad-dür, and it consists of over 50,000 Lego blocks. How long it took for him to build it I have no idea, but when I look at it, I am as impressed as you guys are. I had imagined it to be a little taller than it actually is since it consists of so many blocks; however, maybe the interior and the base of it is super compact and solid, that we don’t know.

I don’t know what it is, but every time I see an epic build like this, I get back into that old mood like when we sat on the floor when we were a child, and we just built the craziest things. I don’t think I would have time to sit and build something as complex as a 50,000 block Sauron Tower anytime soon, but I’m loving this piece of awesomeness. It’s one of those things that I am sure will be debated for a long time to come. Now I am just waiting on the next awesome build from Kevin since these Lego masters usually try to break their own records. So, Kevin, once you are finished with your next build, make sure you tell us and we’ll definitely put it on Bit Rebels. It’s a given!
