I don’t even ride motorcycles, but this helmet makes me want to get on one and go very, very fast. With a helmet like this, you’d definitely need a little sound system built-in the inside. It would be a crime to wear a helmet this badass with no music. And of course you couldn’t wear just any sunglasses to pull off this look, you’d need some rockin mirrored aviators, just like she’s wearing in these pictures.
According to the designer, Natalina from Instructables, this helmet isn’t really for keeping your head safe while scooting around town on your motorcycle. Instead, it’s more of a costume piece. She’s working on making a matching disco ball backpack to complete the look.
She started this helmet process by choosing the helmet, and she chose a vintage Bell motorcycle style helmet. I like this one since it’s completely open in the front. She used mirror tiles that are backed with fabric. Lucky for us, she put all the detailed directions for how to make this in a tutorial on Instructables. If you’ve always dreamed of having your own disco ball helmet, now is your chance to make a truly stunning one for yourself. You can get all the information you need including links for where to get the materials at Disco Ball Helmet. You can learn more about the designer, Natalie Walsh, on her website. This is gorgeous!
