The Brick Bible: Lego Reenactments Of Biblical Events

I bet you thought we had covered pretty much everything when it comes to Lego by now, right? That’s where you are wrong. When it comes to Lego, there are a million things out there that we probably don’t have a clue about right now. Lego is one of those “toys” that just never ceases to surprise us when it comes to its creativity. It just simply has to be the most universal toy ever. So what on earth could it be this time that the block will give us? Well, nothing less than the world itself, or rather, the way it was created according to the best selling book of all time. I think you know which book I mean. It’s the Bible of course!

Once again we bring you something that will most likely make you want to bust out those blocks of yours and start being creative. This build is probably the biggest feat we have covered so far here on Bit Rebels when it comes to Lego. It’s The Brick Bible, and it is the brainchild of one very dedicated Brendan Powell Smith. According to Walyou, Brendan spent the better part of a whole decade recreating over 5,000 myths and stories from the new testament in Lego.

This book, which contains over 272 pages, is what you could definitely call one of the most dedicated “builds” ever made. To recreate all the scenes, Brendan probably used hundreds of thousands of blocks that had to be placed and photographed. When you see some of the photos of this book, I am sure you will understand the epicness of it. The Bible is quite an epic story in itself, and recreating it in Lego doesn’t take away from that at all. It’s quite the opposite actually. If you haven’t read the Bible but want to, and if you don’t want to spend the time pouring over thousands of  pages of text, maybe this would be a good place to start. Impressive!
