The Evolution Of The Batmobile [Infographic]

It’s interesting to see what Christopher Nolan did with the whole Batman concept.  It went from having dwindling movie goers to pure success.  Sure, much of the success of the movie “Batman: The Dark Knight” was due to the untimely death of Heath Ledger, but the movie was also insanely cool and entertaining.  I remember when I was a little boy, and I watched the Batman series on TV.  Yeah, you know, that really cheesy series where when they fought they had those bubble blurbs go “Twack,” “Slam,” and “Bang.”  It was the coolest thing since sliced bread, at least for a 9 year old geek.  I also remember that the Batmobile looked quite different back then.  It was… hmm… more geeky in a way, if you will.

As time flies, it’s not easy to see how the Batmobile changes all the time.  And, let me tell you, it has changed quite a bit since the early days.  Once again, it’s Carinsurrance.org (just like with the Transformers – From Car To Robot infographic) that produced this heavily inspiring infographic.  It’s a part of their ad campaign that I think, I am not entirely sure, was pulled after some differences about copyright issues and what not.

The awesomeness of this infographic can’t even be described.  I have always enjoyed the old school comic style, and I hope they will never stop the retro comics to make room for the futuristic ones.  I mean, we see the simplification of pretty much everything else, so at least leave the old school retro style comics alone.  This is truly a great start!  I love this kind of info!  Let the geekdom begin!
