Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and best wishes to all the geeks of the world on this magical day where we give thanks, spend time with family and friends, and sing carols. No matter what your religion is, and no matter how you choose to spend this special day, we send you our high-fives and smiles for happiness, health and peace. If you are an avid blogger, this is probably the time of year when you start reflecting on the past twelve months and measure the progress you’ve made. You might even be putting together a list of new blogging goals for you and your blog.
It seems like just yesterday I wrote A Tribute To Our Bit Rebels Readers, and that was a whole year ago! Time goes by fast when you write everyday, and if your blog is like ours, it becomes almost a timeline that tracks trends and current events which you can browse at any time for a trip down memory lane. Bloggers learn through their mistakes in real time, online, for everyone to see. We’ve had a lot of ups and downs over the past few years here at Bit Rebels, and we’ve learned so much from each one of those experiences. Thank you for all your emails with suggestions and comments, and just know, we will never stop learning and striving to be better.
Being a bold blogger requires being brave and transparent, and if you are one of the people who is sitting at your computer each day building your own legacy online, we want to send you our best Vulcan salute, and we hope you meet all your blogging goals for 2012. You can do anything you set your mind to, never forget that. It only takes a few blogging successes to realize anything is possible, and you can make all your dreams come true!
If you are one of our readers, we truly want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for visiting our blog. Whether you come here every day, or whether you just stumble upon us every now and then, we humbly appreciate you very much. We will to continue doing our best to feed your geek hunger in the coming year, and we even have a few surprises planned for you that we hope you’ll like. It’s days like these when I wish we could all get together for one huge party to celebrate life! Who knows, with as fast as technology is progressing, one day that might be possible.
I thought I’d leave you today with some fun illustrations. This is the 12 days of Christmas illustrated just for geeks. Becca Whitaker, a very talented illustrator, publishes a pin-up each day on her blog. For the past 11 days, she’s also been publishing her redesign of the 12 days of Christmas. If you’d like to see her final illustration for today (Christmas) just click over to her blog at Becca’s Bombshells. As of the time I’m writing this, she hasn’t published the final illustration yet, but I’m sure it will be there in a matter of hours!
