The Real Steampunk Iron Man Suit Is Magnificent

The insanely successful brand and franchise of Iron Man took the world by storm. I must admit that when I saw the trailer for the first movie, I wasn’t overly impressed. I honestly thought it was just another superhero movie, even less awesome than most. However, the movie was way better than I had initially thought, and once the second installment came out, I was sold on it.

The technology portrayed in the movies is nothing less than awesome, and I guess we’re always looking forward to what Mr. Stark is going to hit up next. I mean, who wouldn’t want that house in Malibu even though it doesn’t exist? As a matter of fact, Diana wrote about it not too long ago, and I was a little disheartened to learn that it doesn’t really exist. I know, it’s not likely I will ever be able to buy such a house, but the awesomeness of it was just beyond any scale I can think of.

I wonder what it would have looked like if the whole story was played out during the Victorian age. I am sure we would have had Johnny Depp playing the character of Tony Stark if that were to be the case. We don’t even have to imagine how it would have looked thanks to Cosplay costume maker Matt Silva who, with his creation, won the New York Comic Con costume contest held by Marvel.

This “build” is one of the epic ones, and I could easily compare it to a bunch we have reviewed here at Bit Rebels, but I think it deserves its own place, and its own throne for being so awesome. The simplicity, the clever details and the washed colors makes this one of the cooler costumes I have seen from the Cosplay community in a while. Usually they aren’t as thoroughly done, and they definitely almost never come with such a solid and creative output. If we haven’t said it before, it’s way over due that we do. Iron Man truly is every geeks favorite superhero. No doubt about it!
