Sometimes when you hit up all your favorite websites in the morning, you find yourself in a different kind of mood. You might be in the mood to read something a little less intense and a little more silly. If you are in one of those moods today, I’ve got just the thing for you. This slinky is my new hero. He’s not just any slinky, he’s special. I’ve decided to officially give him the award for being the most determined slinky in the whole world. You can do it little fella, keep going!
The next time you need a jolt of inspiration and motivation to get on that treadmill collecting dust in your basement or at the gym, just watch this little slinky-that-could. He doesn’t give up when the odds are against him, and when it counts, he gives it his all. The cutest part of this video to me is when he steps off to the side for a little break, which we’ve all done once or twice, right?
There isn’t a whole lot of information about why YouTube user abzde decided to record this other than the fact that he wanted to beat the 22 seconds of the previously uploaded “slinky on a treadmill” video clip on YouTube. Competition can be a muther, can’t it? My only question is, how does someone get the idea to record a slinky on a treadmill in the first place? As YouTube commenter CTylerPrower so eloquently put it, it probably went down something like this:
“I’m bored. What do you want to do today?”
“I dunno…. want to put a slinky on a treadmill and see what happens?”
“Sure, why not…?”
-5 minutes later-
“DUDE GET THE FUCKIN’ CAMERA!”
