The Hobbit: Mom Creates Infinitely Detailed Toy Doll House

There is one movie that seemingly everyone is looking forward to this year, and that is the first installment of The Hobbit. Peter Jackson announced some time ago that instead of two movies, The Hobbit would become a three movie series. That is of course news that any Lord of The Rings fan would be overjoyed about. It’s said to become one of the most successful movies of the year, and to reflect that, people have started the endless spoof and content creation flood. As usual, when something comes into the limelight of geeks, there is a burst of both hilarious and awesome content created and shared on the Internet. For a mother of two twins, the journey began when she attended a college course that taught her about the importance of play, and that’s when the idea of a Hobbit toy doll house was born.

Maddie Chambers, whose twin sons were only 1 year old at the time, thought that putting together a Hobbit toy doll house with the help of her Warhammer scenery components would be a good idea. As you see, this creative and ultimately awesome mom is not only a mom, but a geek of true measures. Her dedication to this Hobbit toy doll house didn’t stop there. It had merely just begun, as she was still at it one year later.

Her Hobbit toy doll house kept getting bigger and bigger, and soon she realized she had created something quite extraordinary, or at least the Internet community did. It’s a monumentally detailed Hobbit toy doll house, and looking at it will have you scrambling to find those Lord of The Rings movies just to get your craving settled. I think it’s safe to say that Maddie is a Lord of The Rings fan of epic proportions. Who else in their right mind would keep adding detail to a house dug deep in a hill somewhere in a fantasy world, right? Well, this story has only begun. I am sure that Maddie, with her awesome hand crafting skills and dedication, will not settle for just this build. Why not create the entire Middle Earth while she’s at it? I am sure people would line up for days in order to get a glimpse of it. I know I would! (Infinitely more pictures on Maddies blog!)
