I never thought I’d see the day when I would be writing about such an odd sounding mashup, but it works, and the artwork is so much fun! It makes sense really. Can’t you see the obvious connection between some really angry birds and Luke Skywalker? Yeah, I didn’t see the connection either, until I saw the latest artwork from t-shirt designer Steven Anderson.
Welcome to the legendary battle between the Angry Rebels and the Imperial Pigs. The Princess Leia is my favorite, and the devious smile on Han Solo’s face is classic. By the way, did you know that Han and Leia eventually got married (sort of)? You can even check out their wedding rings.
According to Bite, where Steven’s artwork is featured, “A long time ago, on an app far, far away… The Imperial Pigs have stolen the Rebellion’s eggs, so the Rebellion struck back by stealing the plans for the Death Pig…” Steven Anderson describes himself as being a 30-year-old geek with an overactive imagination. I would have to agree with that, and I’m glad we all get to benefit from it! You can buy any of these designs on a t-shirt at Bite.
