Over the past few years, it seems the world’s economic ups and downs have dominated almost everything in our daily lives. Financial issues impact what we see in the media, where we choose to live, where our children go to school, and even what and where we decide to eat.
The Guardian, which is quickly becoming one of my favorite sites to check out each morning, recently asked some well-known and respected artists and writers to draw a picture which simply answers the question… What is money?
The entire collection has 18 pictures in it, and each one comes with a description of what the image represents. Some are very easy to understand, and others come with a very poignant and relevant social or political message about the state of the world’s overall economy. I really enjoyed seeing these “new currencies and banknotes for a changed world,” and I hope you like them too. You can view the entire collection here on The Guardian. If you want to check out another article about money, click over to Star Wars & Star Trek Dollar Bill Origami. I betcha you never knew you could do that with a dollar bill!
